Travel with Purpose,
Led by Experience

Dear Traveler,

My passion for animals began long before my career—it’s been part of who I am for as long as I can remember. That deep connection with animals only grew stronger over time, guiding every decision I’ve made and every path I’ve followed. Throughout my life, extraordinary animals—Swazi, Mila, Carina, Carol, Jun, Bun Kon, Nit Si Wa, Kiara, Riley, and Machado—have shaped my journey and inspired me to do more to protect and elevate the lives of animals everywhere.

My work has taken me across continents—to rescue and rehabilitate animals, to collaborate with local communities, and to witness the profound compassion that emerges when people and wildlife coexist. One of the most defining chapters of my life unfolded in Vietnam, where I worked alongside the Mnong people, an Indigenous community who have lived with elephants for generations. Their relationship with elephants is deeply spiritual; these animals are not just part of their livelihood, but part of their families.

I still remember sitting inside a family’s longhouse, sharing homemade rice wine and listening to stories of their elephants. In the corner stood a small table set with dishes belonging to Gham Sen, a 22-year-old bull elephant who was raised alongside Vinh, his human brother and caregiver. I had the privilege of joining them in the forest, watching their bond in action—one built on trust, respect, and shared history. It was a moment that profoundly changed how I understand the human-animal relationship.

Yet, their way of life is fading. As forests shrink and fields expand, the space for elephants—and for these cultural traditions—disappears. The Mnong families I worked with dreamed of securing land where their elephants could once again roam freely as herds. Their hope, like mine, was to restore balance between people, animals, and the land.

C The Future was born from lessons like these. This experience opened my eyes to the cultural component that had been missing from my perspective. Animal welfare doesn’t change in different cultures, however, understanding the complexities surrounding the issue requires an open mind and a focus towards long-term collaborative shifts that are focused on what the animals need and what is possible given various constraints. It reflects my belief that real change happens through authentic connection—listening, learning, and working alongside local communities who hold generations of wisdom about coexistence. Through these relationships, I’ve learned that compassion is not passive; it’s active. It means standing beside others, sharing knowledge, and creating pathways toward a kinder, more sustainable future.

Travel with purpose is not just about where we go—it’s about how we show up. It’s about curiosity, humility, and the willingness to learn from the world around us. When you travel with C The Future, you don’t just visit; you become part of something larger—a movement that values empathy, respect, and shared responsibility.

I invite you to join me on this journey—to experience extraordinary landscapes, meet remarkable people, and discover how your presence can help shape a future where both people and wildlife can thrive.

With gratitude,

Dear Traveler,

My passion for animals has been part of me for as long as I can remember. When I was only two years old, I slipped out of my house and walked down the block to visit a neighbor’s puppies. I would cradle each one in my arms and sing them to sleep. That love and dedication to animals has never wavered—it has guided my life and career for more than twenty-five years.

In 2014, my work brought me to Vietnam, where I helped rescue two orphaned elephants, Jun and Gold. I partnered with the Vietnamese government to establish the country’s first elephant conservation center, trained caregivers to use positive reinforcement and choice-based training, and provided critical medical care. It was a groundbreaking program—one that showed me what was possible when compassion and innovation come together.

During those years, I also lived and worked alongside the Mnong people, an indigenous community who have raised elephants for centuries. I will never forget sitting inside a family’s long house, drinking homemade rice wine, and learning how elephants are woven into their culture. In the corner stood a table set with cups and dishes—a symbolic place for Gham Sen, a magnificent bull elephant considered a member of their family. His caregiver, Vinh, had grown up with him, calling him a brother. Walking with them through the forest, I witnessed a relationship built on generations of knowledge, respect, and love.

Experiences like these have shaped who I am and why I created C the Future. To date, I have worked with more than 150 elephants, countless communities, and conservation partners around the world. What I’ve learned is that authentic connections—between people, animals, and cultures—create the foundation for real change.

That is what I want to share with you. Traveling with purpose isn’t just about seeing beautiful places; it’s about becoming part of something bigger. Every person carries knowledge and perspective worth sharing, and when we come together across cultures, we can find solutions to even the most complex challenges.

I invite you to join me—not only to experience extraordinary landscapes and wildlife, but to connect, learn, and make a difference that extends far beyond your journey.

With gratitude,
